NASA EPSCoR RID Program

The FY 2023-2024 Maine/NASA EPSCoR RID Program is OPEN!

The Maine Space Grant Consortium (MSGC) is soliciting proposals under the NASA Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Research Infrastructure Development (RID) Program to seed fund projects that build the state’s R&D capacity that align with NASA’s research areas of interest and support the development of topic areas important to the Maine Space Complex.

Our FY 2023-2024 Maine NASA EPSCoR RID) Program funds support:

  1.  Collaborative Seed Research Grant (up to three awards @$50,000)
  2. Workshops (up to three awards @$5,000)
  3. Travel Grants (up to $2,500 per award, first come basis)

MSGC will consider meritorious proposals that align with NASA’s research areas of interest and one or more of the technology sectors supported by the Maine Technology Institute (MTI). However, preference will be given to proposals that align with NASA’s and MTI’s priorities AND the topic areas critical to the development of the Maine Space Complex (Complex).

Cost share in the form of cash and/or in-kind is required. Indirect (F&A) is capped at 10% for the federal request on RID awards and is unallowable on workshop and travel grants. Unrecovered F&A is an allowed form of cost sharing.

Eligible applicants are faculty/researchers at Maine higher education, non-profit research institutions, and for-profit businesses.
