Our 2017 Maine NASA (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Research Infrastructure Development (RID) Program funds Interdisciplinary Theme-Specific VISIONEERING Workshops to generate synthesis of ideas in Maine that align with NASA and Maine’s needs. Small travel and proposal writing grants are available to assist awarded workshop proposal “teams” to continue and/or develop their project collaboration and project proposal in anticipation of submitting to our Collaborative Seed Grant program the following year. The Collaborative Seed
Grant Program next year is intended to “jump start” collaborative projects that stem from the theme specific plans generated from the workshops.
Cost share in the form of cash and/or in-kind is required. No indirect (F&A) may be charged on RID awards.  Unrecovered F&A is an allowed form of cost sharing.
Eligible applicants are faculty/researchers at MSGC Affiliate higher education and research institutions. Individuals from for-profit institutions can participate in the proposal as co-principal investigators.
The due date for proposals is December 16, 2016.
