MSGC’s Fall 2014 Space Grant Seed Research Grant Program and our 2014 Higher Education Innovation in STEM Education Programs are CLOSED

MSGC has just released its Request for Proposals (RFP) under two of its Space Grant programs, one in our Research Infrastructure and one in Higher Education.

Our Space Grant Research Infrastructure Seed Grant Program seeks to improve the research competitive position of Maine researchers for larger scale funding from NASA and other agencies by supporting projects that are aligned with NASA priority areas and the state of Maine’s strengths. This program provides funding to support projects that promote collaborations to strengthen the research infrastructure capacity of the institution and improve the research competitive position of research faculty.  Proposals are due on October 31, 2014.  The RFP for this program can be found under both our “For Researchers” page or our “For Educators/Higher Education/Research Infrastructure” page on our website.

Our Higher Education Innovation in STEM Education Program seeks to contribute to increasing the number of qualified Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) educators, student learning, and undergraduate student retention in STEM disciplines at Maine’s institutions of higher education. The objective is to support innovative projects that use evidence-based approaches to develop new or enhance existing STEM courses or course contents to promote undergraduate student engagement, learning, and academic success.  Proposals are due on October 20, 2014.  The RFP for this program can be found under our “For Educators/Higher Education” page on our website.
