FY 2008 NASA EPSCoR Research AnnouncementThe Maine Space Grant Consortium, in partnership with the Maine Office of Innovation, is providing advance notice to the state’s institutions of higher education and research institutions of the pending FY 2008 NASA EPSCoR Research Announcement. All institutions of higher education and research institutions in Maine are eligible to respond to this announcement. Proposers may download a copy of the 2008 announcement, the schedule for in-state review of NASA EPSCoR proposals, NASA's Research Interests, and a copy of selected proposals from the 2007 NASA EPSCoR competition. (see links below). The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Education, in cooperation with NASA’s four Mission Directorates—Aeronautics Research, Exploration Systems, Science, and Space Operations—and NASA’s ten Field Centers, will be soliciting proposals for the NASA Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). Each funded NASA EPSCoR proposal is expected to establish research activities that will make significant contributions to the strategic research and technology development priorities of one or more of the Mission Directorates and contribute to the overall research infrastructure, science and technology capabilities, higher education, and economic development of Maine. It is anticipated that 7-10 awards of up to $750,000 for a three-year period of performance may be made under this Notice. Cost sharing/match is required at a rate of 1:1 and can include a combination of cash and in-kind.
